ABOUT THE SHOWDOWN
We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new, action-packed western performance horse event coming to Calgary – The Showdown.
The Showdown will take place at the prestigious Nutrien Western Event Centre at the Calgary Stampede grounds in Calgary, Alberta. This one-day, high-stakes event will bring together the best of the best in Reining, Working Cow Horse, and Cutting, showcasing the top talent in western performance horse sports.
The goal of The Showdown is to bring supporters of the three western performance horse sporting events together to celebrate and preserve the western heritage upon which the sports were built from. There is currently no event in Canada where spectators can see Reining, Working Cow Horse, and Cutting ; The Showdown will feature the best performers in Canada under one roof on one day!
